How to specify a custom folding carton

Choose the construction

Folding cartons are flat-pack: the carton is die-cut and printed flat, then erected and closed with glue or tuck flaps when you're ready to pack it. This is a different family from the pre-assembled rigid boxes elsewhere on this site, and it keeps shipping volume down before use.

Board and paper

Cartons are most often made from corrugated board for extra strength, with coated art paper, kraft paper or cardboard used for lighter-duty styles and different finish looks.

Printing and finishing

Artwork is printed by CMYK offset printing and finished with matt or gloss lamination, spot UV and varnish on most styles. Embossing is available on selected styles for extra logo detail.

Inserts

A cardboard or paperboard insert is the most common option for holding products in place; foam inserts are available for products that need extra protection.

Size and quantity

Cartons are made to your product's dimensions. Send your item size, quantity and artwork; MOQ starts at 500 pcs on most styles, with 1,000 pcs also available.
